Job Description:
You will support the news director with the planning and implementation of newsroom/station philosophies and strategies. You will be responsible, among other tasks, for short term and long-term editorial planning, managing an operation budget, creating work schedules, and growing content across multiple distribution platforms.

Job Responsibilities:
- You must have high ethical journalistic standards and legal broadcast journalistic principles.
- Must be able to work with newsroom computer systems and applications used for producing newscasts.
- You must be able to make sound quick decisions while working under stress and deadlines.
- Must be able to travel and open to change of schedules.
- You must possess excellent written and verbal English and Spanish language skills.
- Must have knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, INews, Pages, Numbers and Keynote a plus.
- Must be able to motivate, direct supervise and manage a news team, including editorial, production and talent.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the digital news gathering field, a plus. Video editing, shooting techniques and postproduction knowledge will be an advantage.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in Journalism or Communications.
- 5-10 years of large market broadcast news experience and newsroom management or supervision. Los Angeles market and community awareness is a plus.
- An unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
