Job Description:
The Portfolio Director will lead the advancement of data and analytics across WM in the area of Sustainability. S/he will lead engagement with senior executives to define an analytic strategy and roadmap that meets the immediate business need while propelling WM forward on our maturity journey to fully leverage data and analytics for business impact. S/he will be accountable for defining portfolio of projects which deliver measurable business impact and year over year growth.

- Work with business executives to define the analytic strategy for Sustainability Analytics across Waste Management.
- Foster organization wide collaboration in solving problems.
- Create vision for Sustainability Analytics.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Define strategic roadmap for Sustainability Analytics based on business impact and business readiness
- Discover new opportunities to optimize WM Sustainability through analytics, statistical and optimization modeling using analytical tools.
- Effectively communicate the Sustainability Analytics vision, strategy, roadmap and progress
Job Requirements:
- Experience connecting disparate data stores, cleansing outliers/missing data, and transformations.
- Experience engaging with C-level executives in forming an analytic strategy.
- Experience developing business strategy, business case and execution plan for achieving a vision for analytics in the Sustainability domain.
- Experience automating data within business intelligence applications, to tell an analytical story through visualizations.
- Knowledge of predictive/prescriptive statistical modeling and translating insights to action.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing data visualization dashboards utilizing advanced visualization tools that provide real-time visibility into performance results.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, MBA or other relevant technical discipline.
- Requires 8+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in Sustainability analytics with a demonstrated track record of results driving continuous improvements, variable cost reductions and improved capital efficiency.
