Job Description:

UPS is seeking a dynamic Procurement Process Specialist to support Procurement Operations initiatives. The incumbent will conduct analysis to understand organizational spending patterns. This role recommends, develops and implements process improvements within the group, and process UPS orders via Coupa.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports Commodity Supervisor/Manager in assisting with Request for Proposals (RFP) to ensure best bids among vendors
  • Analyzes aspects of the S2P process and identifies improvement opportunities
  • Identifies affected functions and groups and works with them to negotiate process changes, ownership of processes, and to manage project impact
  • Assists in development of project plans (i.e., detailed plan, milestones, and work breakdown structures) and assigns tasks to resources to ensure project will be completed on time and according to specifications
  • Conducts analysis to understand purchasing patterns and prioritize improvement efforts
  • Troubleshoots current applications, isolates errors, and takes corrective action to resolve issues
  • Supports and enforces Procurement policies
  • Provides customer service support and solutions to suppliers & internal stakeholders

Job Requirements:

  • Possesses basic knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Possesses experience in Process Improvement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrates strong analytical Skills
  • Demonstrates experience with data management and analysis
  • Experience with Oracle ERP and/or Coupa system
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Math, Economics, or Business
