United is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Developer with experience designing and developing high-performing, large scale applications. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding business requirements, lead the design and development to launch efficient systems and solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support for the mission critical Tier 1 applications as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions and
• Works/Consults across multiple projects
• Work closely with Solutions Delivery, Program Management, Quality Assurance, Business Partners and strategic vendors to ensure solutions and products meet compliance
• Lead the development effort in modernizing legacy application using Java/Spring/Angular on AWS
• Lead the delivery of operational critical tier 1 – Pilot Records application
• Research cutting-edge technologies, build prototypes and lead the group in proper technical direction
• Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles, versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management

Job Requirements:

• Proficient at architecting small systems following the prescribed technology policies or architectural footprint
• 5+ or more years of experience in application design, development and implementation of new computing architectures
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant filed is required
• Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, DynamoDB)
• The application of development domain areas and specific technologies and tool set
• Able to Work with distributed teams (on shore and off)
• Strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization
• 2+ years of Experience building SPA – Single page applications using Angular
• 5+ years of strong experience developing application codes and unit tests in Java, Spring (Boot, Data, Batch, Security) Technologies, and RESTful web services, Microservices, Messaging Architectures
• Proficient at working problems of high complexity, medium size scope
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of application architecture and architecture constructs as it connects to the enterprise architecture
• SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standards and best practices
• Software engineering best practices such as: versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles
