Assist with menu planning, menu costings and co-ordinate with banqueting and Food and Beverage departments. Manage, train and lead staff

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide training to chefs to encourage versatility and creativity
  • In charge of production, oversee and monitor the quality of food and presentation
  • Oversee hygiene standards in the kitchen. Responsible for hygiene control
  • Ensure quality food is presented, within the budget
  • Manage, train and lead staff
  • Oversee & prepare meals. Supervising staff in kitchen, with preparation of meals
  • Ensure daily costings & controls are in place & working

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Culinary Studies and upmarket Cooking skills with 5 years previous experience
  • Computer literate essential
  • Must have drivers’ licence, own transport
  • Client/customer relationships/management skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook and expediter.
