Job Description:
Receiving, processing and storing routine biological specimens in BSL2 laboratory (e.g., blood, urine, sputum, saliva) for various clinical research projects;

- Assisting with staff and student training as needed;
- Preparing and reviewing standard operating procedures and laboratory forms, as needed;
- Performing scheduled after hours work if needed.
- Isolation of PBMCs and other cell types, ELISA, GeneXpert (various);
- Specimen logging on LIMS/project-specific databases;
- Performing administrative tasks (e.g., filing, stock taking, ordering, etc.);
Job Requirements:
- Willingness and medically fit to work with infectious human specimens in BSL3;
- Proficiency in LIMS / freezer inventory system and sample storage;
- Knowledge of ISO 15189, or 17025 guidelines.
- Knowledge of IATA and/or Dangerous Goods regulations;
- MSc degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field with a minimum of one year’s relevant working experience in an ISO accredited laboratory,
- Experience with ELISAs and/or flow cytometry;
- Experience in mammalian cell culture;
- Valid GCP certificate;
