Job Description:

Does a pre-use inspection of the Drill Rig by means of a checklist and report deficiencies to Supervisor / Mining Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective utilization of equipment
• Effective and efficient hauling and dumping of Blasted rock using correct techniques and line with standards, procedures and safety protocols
• Perform all duties related to the position
• Achieve production targets through safe and effective operation of the DT
• Comply with Company’s standards, policies, procedures and safety initiatives
• Effective self-management in alignment with Sibanye Stillwater values
• Assist to do basic repairs on equipment

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Standard 10 / Matric or equivalent
• Code EB / C Driver’s license
• Be in possession of a First Aid Certificate
• Competent A Certificate
• Minimum of 4 years’ practical experience of operating a Dump Truck (DT) in a Trackless underground mining environment
• Advantageous requirements:
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
• The post is dependent on successful completion of the Company’s pre-employment protocol such as qualifications verification, relevant psychometric assessments and clear security clearance
