Job Responsibilities:

• Providing quality assurance of equipment supplied to the Operations
• Performing electrical, mechanical and technical problem solving
• Developing and managing of subordinates
• Conducting and reporting on QA/QC reviews
• Taking accountability for proper discipline in the section
• Providing quality assurance of equipment received from the suppliers

Job Requirements:

• Have a multi-skilled Foreman’s certificate of competency
• Have solid knowledge and understanding of Winding plants, Shaft hoisting, Water pumping, conveyor belt and main ventilation systems.
• Have obtained or done hydraulic control system training
• Be able to control and manage multi-skilled disciplines (Fitter, Boilermaker & Rigger)
• Be a self-starter, self-motivated and results orientated.
• Be computer literate particularly in MS Office packages
• Be in possession of a recognised Trade certificate (Mechanical)
• Have obtained or done a winder bracking system training
• Have at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
• Have worked on winders as a fitter for at least 5 years
• Understand settler and clear water pumping arrangements
• Have sound knowledge of winder rope maintenance and legal requirements
• Be in possession of a Matric / Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
