Job Description:

Ensure the integrity of project accounting and financial reporting for capital projects. Ensuring the correct accounting treatment of project with the corresponding risk management and status confirmation. Attending of governance forums / supporting functions by providing support with the correct nature of cost classification.

Job Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate capitalisations of completed projects
• Capital application reviews and project cost evaluation
• Assisting with compilation of financial budgets / forecasts including cash flow, capitalisation, depreciation and wear & tear budgets
• Adherence to corporate governance and group asset policies and procedures
• Manages and review monthly transactional actions/activities
• Interest capitalisation – qualifying projects
• Monthly reporting – Prepare relevant and timeous financial management information provided to enable business decision making (reporting)
• Half year end and year end deliverables
• Project financial risk management and status follow up
• Automation of processes / Streamlining of processes
• Exercise relevant SOX controls in area of responsibility
• Accruals, pre-payments and provisions

Job Requirements:

• Honors with articles and minimum 5 years relevant work experience
• CA (SA) with minimum 3 years relevant work experience
• University Bachelor’s Degree (B Com Accounting) with articles (good knowledge of IFRS) and minimum 5 years relevant work experience (Must)
