Job Description:
A Maintenance Operator assists an Artisan with the installation and maintenance of Plant Equipment, supporting production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, and utilising all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant and/or equipment.

- Adherence to quality and safety systems
- Do routine maintenance inspections and tasks
- Correction of inspection defects
- Hazard identification/task risk assessments
- Service and general maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Report on deviations and defects to foreman or plant artisan.
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Assist Artisans in daily activities
Job Requirements:
- Grade 12 or Equivalent with Maths & Science
- Safety conscious and practice good housekeeping
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment
- Code 08 driver’s license
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an Explosives Plant
- Must be able to work shifts
