Job Description:

Reporting to the Shiftboss, the role is responsible to control the ore extraction process and ground handling infrastructure to ensure optimal utilisation of people, infrastructure and equipment to obtain production targets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, controlling, leading and organising repairs and breakdowns.
• Control the utilisation of allocated and other resources.
• Install, maintain, support and remove temporary support in mining excavations.
• Evaluate the findings of inspections, takes appropriate action by deciding where and what type of additional support should be installed to ensure legal compliance.
• Identify deviations or non-conformances, plan and implementing corrective actions to ensure attainment of the production plan.
• Responsible for collecting, handling, transporting and storing explosives.

Job Requirements:

• Blasting Certificate OR National Certificate Rock Breaking Underground Hard Rock Level 3
• Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite
• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
• Valid drivers’ licenseof allocated and other resources.
•  Identify deviations or non-conformances, plan and implementing corrective actions to ensure attainment of the production plan.
• A minimum of 2 years relevant mining experience after obtaining Blasting Certificate
