Job Description:
Manage benefits and assist in leave of absences for North America based employee population. Using your attention to detail and proactive approach, respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner, including information above and beyond answering the initial question.

- Promptly respond to HR Helpdesk tickets, Analyze HR Helpdesk tickets for trends and partner with AskAnthony/Trainer to create benefit training and materials to proactively educate managers and employees.
- Maintain benefit resource documents on annual basis or whenever plan changes dictate.
- Lead refresh of Benefits Intranet page to increase engagement and ease of use. Bring creativity to make resources visually pleasing and Patagonia branded.
- Benefit administration includes medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, LTD, FSA, HSA, time off, 401(k), and any additional Company offered programs.
- Create spotlight benefit campaigns to promote and educate employees on ancillary benefits to increase utilization.
- As needed, assist employees and managers with Workday self-service tasks and processes. Assist with documentation of Workday processes.
- Review new hires to ensure they are onboarded correctly in Workday and benefit enrollments are completed in a timely manner in compliance with labor regulations and according to benefit plan requirements.
- Manage annual Open Enrollment communication and process. Track enrollment deadlines in Workday and follow up with employees who have not completed enrollment tasks.
- Responsible for reviewing employee mid-year benefit plan change requests.
- For tier 1 leaves, provides end-to end case management and consultative support to employees and managers throughout the leave process. Responsible for sending timely leave communications, tracking leave hours used and coordinating the return from leave process.
- Work with HR Operations Manager on benefit invoice reconciliation as needed.
- Process employee information through Workday, maintain records, and electronic personnel files. Ensure all employee files are complete and accurate.
- Assist employees with 401(k) questions and review 401(k) enrollment for all employees to ensure they are accurately enrolled in Workday. Conduct audits and administer account corrections.
- Responsible for responding to inquiries from employees who have a need for a leave; ensuring that employees have eligibility information and know how to request leave and work with their manager.
- Audit for re-hires and retro-hires/job changes that may require manual administration.

- Excellent communication skills in working with a diverse employee population.
- Metrics and results driven with an ability to apply this to your work product.
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency and customer service.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong computer skills (Workday, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- 5+ years benefit administration experience. Experience with Canadian benefits is a plus.
- The ability to write clearly and persuasively in addition to defining problems and articulating solutions within a group setting.
- Working knowledge of Workday or equivalent HRIS.
- Proficient knowledge of multi-state labor laws and general HR practices.
- Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on all areas of responsibility.
