As the Swing Shift Assistant Warehouse Manager you are responsible for the nightly outbound activities and workflow for the Reno Distribution Center through our Mail Order, Retail, Wholesale and International channels. Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely, specific, and actionable feedback in a motivational and thoughtful way.
• Tailor approaches to meet individual communication styles.
• Practice empathetic “active” listening, being fully present in one-on-one and/or team meetings.
• Partner with HR to craft and deliver performance-based documentation to employees as needed.
• Partner with the Swing Shift Manager to support the department & company’s priorities and policies.
• Actively participate in the recruiting and interviewing process when selecting new talent for the team.
• Value the perspective of team members, even if it is different from your own.
• Create an environment where everyone can learn from mistakes, voice their opinions, and ask judgment-free questions.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor within a flexible and (at times noisy) work environment
• Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform routine tasks for extended periods of time.
• Experience in supervising several employees at one time, including temporary and seasonal help.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely.
• 2+ of leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution center setting.
• PC computer skills. Microsoft Word and Excel experience desirable. D365, and WMS a plus.
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
