Job Description:

The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, organization skills and interpersonal skills. This individual will report to the Senior Vice President, Theatrical Distribution and work both independently and collaboratively with the domestic sales team as well as additional teams across Lionsgate to ensure successful distribution of Lionsgate’s films.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Film Rental settlement for all non-scale engagements
  • Maintain weekly holdovers and confirm upcoming bookings of theatrical titles for various sales territories
  • Verify show time schedules to ensure exhibitors adhere to weekly holdovers policies and parameters
  • Daily data entry of flash grosses and other similar administrative responsibilities
  • Negotiate and assess film rental scales as needed
  • Collect missing box office reports and facilitate the collection of film rental where necessary
  • Analyze theater and comparable film performance for the purpose of planning and negotiating bookings of commercial and specialized theatrical titles for regional and independent exhibitors
  • Weekly meetings to discuss and review the payment status of every circuit, owner/payer, as well all potential issues with delinquent accounts
  • Assist Finance Coordinator with invoicing, cash collection, box office collection, reconciliation; directly handle any issues with buyers/owners/payers
  • Work cross-divisionally and with exhibitors to implement and develop in-theatre promotions, marketing campaigns and overall exhibitor support
  • Set, coordinate and manage the screening process including premieres, research, promotional, word of mouth and trade screenings
  • Weekly analysis and correction of flash grosses and/or box office gross disparities
  • Help plan and implement a release/distribution strategy for Lionsgate’s films to maximize grossing potential
  • Weekly accruals of film rental terms of non-scale engagements used for box office forecasting

Job Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills (market research and analysis) and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred but not mandatory, will train a recent graduate or candidate with 1-2 years of experience in a similar field
  • Excellent negotiation and verbal communication skills
  • Computer and social media savvy
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Teams)
  • Ability to deliver solutions in a highly time-sensitive environment, ability to work under pressure without losing professionalism and composure
  • Very organized and capable of multi-tasking in a high energy and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills – must be adept at liaising with high level executives internally and externally
  • Team player and independent worker with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong understanding of theatrical distribution and/or exhibition is a plus, but not mandatory.
