To coordinate the services rendered with all the stakeholders in the district. To plan, organize and monitor the objectives of the unit in the consultation with subordinates

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor the effective management of all the resources allocated in the unit
• Participate in staff, student and patient training
• Implementation and management of Infection Control and Prevention Protocols
• Oversee the implementation of HAST programme in the clinic and hospital
• Monitor the implementation of EPMDS
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records according to legal requirements
• To provide a therapeutic environment to staff, patients and the public
• To effectively manage the utilization and supervision of resources
• Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of HAST programme
• To participate in Quality improvement programmes and Clinical Audits

Job Requirements:

• Leadership, organizational, decision making and problem solving abilities within the limit of the public sector and institutional policy framework
• Diploma / Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery
• Proof of previous and current work experience endorsed by HR
• Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse and Midwife
• A minimum of 7 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in general nursing
• Knowledge of Nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes, and other relevant legal frameworks
• Senior Certificate
