Job Description: We are looking for a Principal Process Engineer to work alongside De Beers Group operational processing functions in South Africa, Namibia, Canada and Botswana. The core purpose of the role will be to provide technical and operational expertise to the Processing Facilities of the De Beers Group while also championing the implementation of new technologies and processes to move the Processing discipline into the future. [the_ad id="29344"] Job Responsibilities: Lead discussions with operations on Processing Business Planning inputs and outputs. Take a lead part in governance & assurance activities at the operation. Work closely with Research & Development across implementation of new initiatives and technologies. Be the ‘custodian’ of Recovery Technologies. Perform internal project reviews for large capital investments. Coach process Engineers. Provide technical leadership in the field of Diamond Processing and actively work to improve the discipline within the De Beers Group Provides expert input for improvement programmes. Job Requirements: Solid experience and deep knowledge on the various metallurgical unit operations employed within Diamond Processing flowsheets (Upstream part of the business). Extensive experience on Processing Capital Projects within the Diamond industry. Extensive knowledge of the technologies used in the Recovery sections of Diamond Processing flowsheets. Experienced executing defined initiatives using sound project management principles and practices, including technical investigations, techno-economic investigations, improvement studies. A track record of designing and implementing Diamond Processing flowsheet improvements.
