Job Description:

As an Alliance Leader, you will be the primary contact and overall relationship lead for the ODx organization with responsibility for the success of at least one (and often multiple) major Janssen diagnostic strategic partnerships. This role will position you at steering committees key to the success of these alliances and you will create impact for Janssen, our partners, and ultimately patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Janssen project teams and project managers assigned to oversee and track the progress of projects and their execution to ensure high quality and timely deliverables
  • Be an excellent communicator and interpreter of technical and non-technical data, synthesizing complex information from disparate sources into concise and clear narratives, both internally to Janssen and externally with other partners
  • Track project costs and forecast project revenue and align with project management organization (PMO)
  • Experienced in constructive decision making, resolution of conflict, and the building of effective top-down and bottom-up business relationships
  • Work jointly with partners to identify and scope out new project opportunities where Janssen is uniquely positioned to act as a valuable partner
  • Act as the “owner” of at least one Janssen partnership alliance, ensuring its overall success
  • Understanding of the proper application of risk management techniques to ensure business priorities and quality standards are met
  • Collaborate with partners to understand their strategic goals and overall product roadmaps, and ensure that this context is incorporated into Janssen’s project scoping and delivery
  • Maintain a strong relationship/partnership, through regular discussions and collaborations across all levels of the partner’s organization (from technical to executive)

Job Requirements:

  • MBA, M.S., and/or PhD is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and mobilize people across the organization, and to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Persons with extraordinary and pertinent experience may be considered at the level of Director.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of relevant work experience in partner-facing roles (e.g. alliance management, business development, strategic account management)
  • Strong aptitude for cultivating working relationships at all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • Familiarity with diagnostic technologies and product landscape in areas including, but not limited to, next generation sequencing, immunohistochemistry, and PCR.
  • Experience defining and maintaining strategic direction while ensuring successful execution of projects across oncology
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization across various functions and locations
