Data and Messaging provide WPB Value Streams and Markets with common data, analytics and multi-channel messaging platform, supported by easily configured, out of the box data services and messaging experiences to enable smarter, data driven business outcomes and a more personal and engaged customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent project meetings for data and MI and effectively manage stakeholder expectations and delivery.
  • Lead the development of the data ecosystem for Fraud in I Hub data refinery by leveraging existing WPB data and complimenting with additional sources of data.
  • Support Global / Regional Heads of Fraud by enabling insight through adequate data and related global MI and dashboards to support Fraud operations.
  • Lead the global delivery of data and MI capabilities to enable adequate management and optimization of Fraud Operations, Analytics and Models / strategies across Application and
  • Transactions Fraud decision systems.
  • Provide road map of migration strategy and execute delivery of on premise based data and MI capabilities to GCP (I Hub).
  • Communicate a clear vision that is aligned to the overall HSBC vision, values and goals, and inspires and engages people to create an inclusive, high performing, customer-centered culture.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering data programs on cloud / on premise environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the discipline like Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in toolset such as SAS, Big Data, Hadoop, Ingestion capabilities.
  • To design and develop cloud based solutions for data programs with a working knowledge of ETL transformations.
  • Experience in designing and deploying large scale distributed data processing systems with one or more technologies such as Big Query, Cloud SQL, GCS, Hadoop, Spark, Mongo DB, Qilksense.
  • Ability to identify IT department priorities and ensure resulting objectives are met in accordance with established timelines or deadlines.
  • Proven data modelling skills across relational (OLTP, OLAP) and non-relational (NO SQL) databases.
  • Experience in developing data transformation in Python, Big Query SQL, Pyspark.
