Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible to provide strategic counsel to IT Business Unit decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective cloud data warehouse and big data technology solutions and/or services for all aspects of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage Redshift data warehouses in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment.
• Work with and provide strategic counsel to a broad range of management levels from individual contributors and managers to Executives both within North America region and Globally
• Lead the strategy design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex data systems and solutions in the cloud
• Lead complex projects to completion and provide consulting support while managing multiple stakeholders both within North America region and Globally
• Perform Redshift data warehouse maintenance, optimization, and configuration tuning in AWS cloud environment.
• Define and manage cloud data warehouse and big data technology standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality
• Automate provisioning, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Redshift data warehouses in AWS cloud environment
• Oversee end-to-end cloud data warehouse and big data life cycle management activities
• Create and maintain current and target state cloud database and big data architectures.
• Consult with external industry leading cloud providers to ensure cloud data warehouse and big data technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state

Job Requirements:

• 8+ year experience with relational database technologies and administration (SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata, etc.).
• Good knowledge of data management, data integration, and database development techniques.
• 5+ year experience with Redshift database administration and data modelling (performance tuning, indexing and database/query optimization for high-speed big data consumption).
• Ability to relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs.
• 3+ year experience with PostgreSQL database administration and data modelling.
• 8+ year experience developing reference architecture, principles and standards.
• 8+ year managing enterprise level database and data warehouse environments along with data modelling and data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ year experience working with AWS services for large datasets (EMR, S3, CLI, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Database-Specialty, AWS Certified Data Analytics-Specialty, AWS Certified Machine Learning-Specialty, AWS
• Certified Solutions Architect-Professional.
• 2+ year experience with Python scripting and ID federation.
• 5+ year experience with ETL, data integration, and other business intelligence tools like Informatica, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
