The Critical Care Medical Officer functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary critical care team that manages High Care and Critical Care Unit patients. Patient management and full-time clinical service provision within the intensive care / High Care Unit. Participation in the critical care academic program. Participation in departmental research activities. Job Requirements: Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner. Keen interest in the caring of acutely ill patients. ATLS or ACLS would be recommended. Previous exposure to Critical Care experience is advantageous.
