- Assist with billing meter calibration, maintenance and replacement as needed.
- Mentor to hourly and/or salary personnel under direct supervision
- Develop scope for capital improvement budget projects, review estimates, write PO’s and track spending.
- Coordinate substation maintenance and operations actions. Maintain Sub PM matrix.
- Review PM Information and implement corrective actions to limit down time & damage to Company property and equipment.
- Champion Safety Operating System (SOS) process control.
- Interface with UAW Representatives on grievances, if necessary.
- Review of monthly meter readings and energy usage reports for on facility or site.
- Work with Maintenance PM Planner to perform routine maintenance as per FORD standards.
- Contact Site Plant Engineering Managers to schedule and coordinate substation switching and coordinate substation maintenance and repair, including shutdown and system start-up
- Assume Electrical Senior Authorized Person responsibilities for entire site electrical distribution system. Assist development of Pre-Task Analysis plans
- Coordinate utility and maintenance work on department equipment with department Supervisor and personnel.
- Generate annual facility health assessment project list and budget and coordinate with FORDLAND Engineering.
- Change agent internal control process issues.
- Write annual purchase orders and monitor spending.
- Interface with utility providers on electrical and mechanical supply and quality issues
- Work with Cleveland Cliffs operations on utility and distribution issues
- Help direct supervision of salary and hourly skilled trades and indirect personnel including Power service Operators, Power Maintenance Electricians, and Meter & Relay Electricians.
Job Requirements:
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
- Demonstrated conflict leadership skills
- Ability to work closely and successfully with others in order to deliver results
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or pursuing and received by or before June 2025
- Knowledge of Utility (Mech/Elect) distribution systems & prints
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
