Job Responsibilities:

  • Promotes and ensure constant improvement in the ME organization toward the common goal of improving product quality, plant competitiveness and total cost structure
  • Lead Maintenance and engineering teams in production scheduling, staffing, procurement, and maintenance of department equipment
  • Facilitate start-up / shift to shift meetings
  • Champion constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate the bottlenecks
  • Lead Project Writing and process of collecting and evaluating data in sound business cases
  • Coordinates the resources and activities of ME organization to meet the production schedule within budgetary limitations and time constraints
  • Evaluate and deliver maintenance measurable
  • Analyzes the plant’s personnel and capital resources to select the best ways of meeting the production quota
  • Review/approve PM activities
  • Promote and support Small Teamwork Groups
  • Monitors the production run to make sure that it stays on schedule and correct any problems that may arise
  • Ensure deliverables are aligned with Constraint Action Matrix and a 5 year plan
  • Participates in production scheduling, staffing, procurement and maintenance of equipment, quality control, inventory control, and the coordination of production activities with those of other departments
  • Coach and teach the maintenance to handle continuous improvement projects
  • Ensures department complies with government/industry standards
  • Coordinate the resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-up

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employees
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles
  • In depth experience in assembly manufacturing processes
  • Safety and Quality experience preferred
  • An understanding of MAXIMO or other PM and WO tools
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical and/or Industrial
  • Environment Compliance experience preferred
  • Some experience in Production
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Maintenance and performance of Extra-Large High-Speed Transfer Presses
  • Experience with the use of predictive tools
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team
  • Strong working knowledge of the Ford Production System
  • A solid understanding of Hydraulic Cushions
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Prior experience managing a unionized work force
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance and engineering
  • Ability to interact with all employees in the organization
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including working knowledge of Six Sigma
