Monitor and enforce effective financial control, corporate governance and financial compliance throughout area of accountability

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that repairs and maintenance on council vehicle are done at a quality standard and at the best price.
• Ensure workshop and financial management systems are used effectively to record all activities and transactions and complete requisitions for parts and services required
• Facilitate and manage all repair and maintenance activities in compliance of relevant acts, legislation and council policies
• Conduct pre and post repair inspections on council vehicles and vehicle equipment
• Inspect, verify and test all completed jobs when major repairs and maintenance has been conducted to a quality standard and sign off
• Monitor and support processes for all work related to warranty and driver abuse or negligence in terms of identification, monitoring, investigating and reporting
• Identify and resolve queries and problems timeously and take accountability for delivery of contracted work outputs within agreed parameters and standards

Job Requirements:

• Artisan Qualification (Petrol and/or Diesel) NTC
• Drivers licence with PrDP (Professional Driver Permit)
• 3 years’ experience in similar environment
