Job Description:

Produce complex specifications and implement systems enhancements. Work with the system architect to define the system design and then develop and test the necessary code that will be deployed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain systems according to specifications ensuring Optimised & quality code are deployed to ensure no system degradation.
• Logging of time spent on tasks according to time keeping policy and daily admin on tasks
• Strong technical knowledge across multiple disciplines including Data warehouse ETL, design, modelling and methodologies, Oracle PL/SQL.
• Construct system code in line with the technical specification and delivered within the agreed timeframe as per the project plan.
• Liaise with the Business analyst to clarify the functional specification and attend workshops to determine overall functional design
• Support existing systems by Investigating, identifying and rectifying problems.
• Design of warehouse environments and object, system architecture and solutions across multiple systems to support business requirements
• Production of technical specification documents as required
• Development and data modelling of Business Intelligence solutions.
• Meet with the Systems architect and Systems Analysts to review designs and obtain required approvals
• Develop in a structured environment using versioning control
• Perform Test, debug and quality assure programmed code Ensure that unit testing is conducted successfully accordingly to the functional specification document, user requirements and test pack.
• The use of specific coding standards agreed to from time to time
• Meet with Development Manager to generate project schedule

Job Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years Oracle PL/SQL experience.
• Technical Lead experience
• Must have a minimum of 5 years Product (Oracle) specific experience
• Must have a minimum of 5 years Systems Development experience
• Matric
• Formal Qualification in related competencies
• Must have a minimum of 3 years MIS/BI environment experience
• BSc (IT/Computer Science) or any other relevant Computer Science Degree
• Must have a minimum of 3 years Data Warehousing experience
