Job Description:
As our Packaging Development Manager for Europe you will be responsible for owning the end to end development and management of the artwork process for NPD and EPD (primary & secondary packaging) for all European SKUs distributed across our Western, Central and Eastern European markets.

- Identify and lead the delivery of packaging-related initiatives that deliver cost savings
- Lead workshops with specialists to increase packaging sustainability, ensure compliance with EU legislation and act as a team member together with the wider team to deliver initiatives
- Identify and integrate into external packaging networks and teams to build a wide network of packaging-related specialists to support the delivery of Costa’s European packaging programme and projects
- Direct and manage the different external agencies (e.g. creative, repro, technical/regulatory and translation houses), internal proof approval, aligning with printers and finished product manufacturers to deliver OTIF the required quality at launch of new packaging and phase out of old packaging
Job Requirements:
- An in-depth understanding of artwork, reprographics and print across a broad range of substrates and print processes
- Well networked across packaging forums and peers, staying up to date on packaging technologies and materials
- Demonstrable experience of leading new packaging design and execution in market across an international setting
- Ability to lead and manage a team to deliver projects on time and to budget in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to engage with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders with confidence and authority
