Job Description:
The Senior Network Engineer, part of the Network Infrastructure and Security team, will be responsible for building, managing, operating, and continuously improving the technology supporting Comcast Spectacor. Comcast Spectacor is a professional sports and live entertainment company that is part of Comcast Corporation.

- Analyzes log files for errors and takes corrective action. Applies Comcast security and patch policies to hosts. Proficient with Windows Server, Linux, and VMware servers. Troubleshoots operating system and application issues. Monitors and will handle performance and tuning of servers; apply a policy for system security, software package, and patch management. Sets up logical volumes and RAID sets.
- Possesses a full grasp of how changes will adversely impact the subsystem and all of the products that use that subsystem. Monitors system health and quality daily and provides appropriate action. Collaborates with the Service desk to ensure full grasp of the alarms and remediation steps. Independently sets up metrics collections, and advanced logging/filters.
- Leads issue resolution activities, using knowledge of sophisticated systems. Takes knowledge learned and applies it to current systems, to prevent future occurrences.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Develops solutions for difficult-to-complex systems engineering problems, often without sufficient documentation readily available, and does so in a timely manner. Builds systems engineering documentation to be used by others to build and maintain systems.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Review new technology for the Wells Fargo Center Arena and back-office systems and proposes architecture for implementation for review

- An engineering degree is not required, but you must have a strong technical capability, passion for technology and innovation, and the ability to communicate with technical teams.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and ability to synthesize data from various sources to drive data-driven decisions.
- Bachelors Degree and 5+ years experience
- Exceptional business judgment maximizing strong critical thinking complemented with a bias for action and execution/operational excellence.
- Experience with the following technology: Windows Server, VMWare, Active Directory, Firewall (Palo Alto preferred), Cisco Switching (CCNA preferred), Cisco Wireless, Microsoft SCCM, Crestron, PowerShell Scripting
