The job profile for this position is Risk & Underwriting Advisor, which is a Band 4 Role. This position is not expected to have direct management oversight, however team mentorship and indirect management of vendor partners may be expected.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help design and facilitate formal and informal training for the UW team
• Partner with internal and external resources to test various new risk management models
• Provide oversight of key internal initiatives and projects
• Be a team player. Proactively share ideas and best practices with peers. Challenge when appropriate
• Develop and improve existing best practices for client support and financial modeling
• Create streamlined underwriting metrics across the EGS underwriting team
• Engage with Actuarial to share ideas, concerns, and develop best practices in underwriting models
• Consistently engage with sales, client management, legal, etc on new initiatives
• Mentor and peer review strategic accounts, complex RFPs and help facilitate the approval process
• Conduct regular audits of underwriter work and report back on common training opportunities

Job Requirements:

• Ability to navigate a matrix environment and deliver results
• Minimum of five years of Underwriting or Broker experience across various products, length of contract, etc.
• Proven ability to mentor and train underwriters
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to driving corporate strategy
• Ability to travel as needed for broker or customer meetings
• Bachelor Degree required
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Strategic thinking and results oriented
