Job Description:

Reporting to the Claims Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and timely process of all Dental and Medical claims received from providers/partners, clients and members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adjudicate medical and dental claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions.
  • Contribute to projects and business change when required.
  • Carry out other adhoc tasks as required meeting business needs.
  • Actively support other team members and provide resource to enable all team goals to be achieved.
  • Monitor turn around times to ensure your claims are settled within required time scales.
  • Identify potential process improvements and make recommendations.
  • Monitor and highlight high cost claims and ensure relevant parties are aware.
  • Ensure work is prioritised effectively.
  • Achieve personal and team productivity and quality goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workflow to meet individual and team requirements
  • Confident in making decisions and exercise judgment where necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in medical administration, claims environment or customer service focused organisation
  • Ability to work under own initiative and proactive in recommending and implementing process improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication to internal and external clients. This will incorporate call handling skills when required.
  • Ability to meet/exceed targets and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong customer focus with ability to identify and solve problems
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy
  • Preferred if English and Arithmetic qualification gained.
