Job Description: The role is very diverse and will be a combination of project work designed to strengthen governance around existing processes and business as usual financial reporting specifically relating to the main branches of our European insurance entities. [the_ad id="29344"] Job Responsibilities: Redesign/enhancement of approvals matrix UK, Swiss and Singapore quarterly branch reporting Preparation of reporting pack for Audit Committee Group Capital Planning Solvency II process mapping and transformation (supporting role) Preparation of reporting pack for Belgian Regulator and Ratings Agencies Assessment/remediation of internal control environment deficiencies across Finance Team succession planning and documentation Development of multi-use statutory reporting pack Job Requirements: Newly qualified accountant /finalist. Problem Solving – ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Strong reporting and analytical skills with ability to create and improve reporting packs and methodologies. Results oriented individual with a drive for continuous improvement and proven success in achieving goals. Team player who has a “hands on” approach to achieving results and is willing to work in the broader finance team, as required, in order to achieve departmental objectives. Previous experience of project management would be an advantage. Advanced Excel skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Stakeholder Focus – dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders, good at building effective relationships and gaining trust and respect. Financial analysis skills with the ability to take the initiative in developing a strong understanding of the underlying business.
