Job Description:
The role is very diverse and will be a combination of project work designed to strengthen governance around existing processes and business as usual financial reporting specifically relating to the main branches of our European insurance entities.

- Redesign/enhancement of approvals matrix
- UK, Swiss and Singapore quarterly branch reporting
- Preparation of reporting pack for Audit Committee
- Group Capital Planning
- Solvency II process mapping and transformation (supporting role)
- Preparation of reporting pack for Belgian Regulator and Ratings Agencies
- Assessment/remediation of internal control environment deficiencies across Finance
- Team succession planning and documentation
- Development of multi-use statutory reporting pack
Job Requirements:
- Newly qualified accountant /finalist.
- Problem Solving – ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills with ability to create and improve reporting packs and methodologies.
- Results oriented individual with a drive for continuous improvement and proven success in achieving goals.
- Team player who has a “hands on” approach to achieving results and is willing to work in the broader finance team, as required, in order to achieve departmental objectives.
- Previous experience of project management would be an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Stakeholder Focus – dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders, good at building effective relationships and gaining trust and respect.
- Financial analysis skills with the ability to take the initiative in developing a strong understanding of the underlying business.
