Job Description:

The role is very diverse and will be a combination of project work designed to strengthen governance around existing processes and business as usual financial reporting specifically relating to the main branches of our European insurance entities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Redesign/enhancement of approvals matrix
  • UK, Swiss and Singapore quarterly branch reporting
  • Preparation of reporting pack for Audit Committee
  • Group Capital Planning
  • Solvency II process mapping and transformation (supporting role)
  • Preparation of reporting pack for Belgian Regulator and Ratings Agencies
  • Assessment/remediation of internal control environment deficiencies across Finance
  • Team succession planning and documentation
  • Development of multi-use statutory reporting pack

Job Requirements:

  • Newly qualified accountant /finalist.
  • Problem Solving – ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills with ability to create and improve reporting packs and methodologies.
  • Results oriented individual with a drive for continuous improvement and proven success in achieving goals.
  • Team player who has a “hands on” approach to achieving results and is willing to work in the broader finance team, as required, in order to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Previous experience of project management would be an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Stakeholder Focus – dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders, good at building effective relationships and gaining trust and respect.
  • Financial analysis skills with the ability to take the initiative in developing a strong understanding of the underlying business.
