Job Description:
Our Facilities Team is looking for an experienced, tenacious and driven Facilities Supervisor to join the Cape Union Mart family. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other related daily facilities/maintenance building systems at the Cape Union Mart Head Office and stores/company premises.

- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Support with Head Office OHASA requirements
- Plans work assignments and project schedules.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- After hours (including weekends) support and stand by with alarm armed response company.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the facilities maintenance department. This includes Head Office & stores/company premises.
- Leads team members in accordance with our company policy & values.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Manages team members & contractors in line with business needs and requirements.
- Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of facilities maintenance team members.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- At least five years of facilities/maintenance and leadership experience required
- Must be able to work rotational shifts between 6am and 8pm weekly including weekends.
- Matric
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of building maintenance systems such as plumbing, electrical etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
