Job Description:
Associate Technician in Training is the less experienced level in this series and is capable of performing a minimal variety of work to ensure that the facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and effective working condition.

- Ability to follow basic work instructions.
- Must be flexible with work assignment and schedules. When needed individual could be assigned to any of our Central Ohio operations to perform the same or similar work. Shift schedules start/end times and days of the week may also be adjusted based on business requirements.
- Must be willing to learn hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
- Must be willing to learn basic maintenance repairs.
- Must be computer literate
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Willing to learn safe work practices and policies.
- Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
- Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Work as a team player within the department and across the business
- Must enroll in Columbus State Community College Facilities Maintenance Certificate program for 3 semesters, 48 weeks.
- Willing to learn basic repair and maintenance techniques and practices.
- Must pass training and receive Power Equipment and Manlift License.
- Knowledge of safe driving rules and practices.
