- Assists with the creation and implementation of a Supplier Relationship Management program for the Corporate Purchasing Team
- Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategic programs which meet the needs of the internal stakeholders while addressing pricing, acquisition, total cost, lead-time and supply
- Works closely with internal American Airlines customers and stakeholders to understand their business needs, objectives, product/service requirements and the broader operational processes
- Assists with the Training program for the Procurement & Supply Chain team, as necessary Assists with the Supplier Diversity program, as necessary
- Accountable for managing the cost of products and services while acting in a leadership/facilitator role as the manager of product/service and supplier strategies
- Measures and tracks supplier performance for the commodity in accordance with the service level agreements; resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Creates, negotiates, implements, and manages long-term and short-term purchase agreements while effectively developing and promoting strategic partnerships with suppliers
- Helps to expand the Supplier Risk Analyses process
- Represents the company in business transactions with both internal and external organizations
- Performs all required strategic sourcing functions, from establishing internal stakeholder requirements to the completion of acceptable purchase contracts that brings measurable value to the corporation
- Effectively communicates with appropriate management levels both internally and externally Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
- Maintains and troubleshoots the Coupa online sourcing tool
Job Requirements:
- Procurement and Supply Chain
- A potential team leader with strong customer orientation
- Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks with exhibited follow through and initiative
- Understanding of ROI, Total cost of ownership, 7 steps strategic sourcing to conduct analysis, problem solving, forecasting and quality improvement
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) A potential team leader with strong communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- 3 years contracts negotiations and management experience
- Previous experience with Source to Pay systems
- Negotiating and influencing skills
- Knowledge of Source to Pay systems
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- Vendor Relationship Management
- Supplier Risk Analysis
- Understanding of Information Technology (IT) Process Mapping abilities
- Understanding and use of technical tools for analysis, problem solving, forecasting and quality improvement
- Understanding of supply chain concepts, with work experience applying those concept
- Advanced business understanding, particularly in project management, early supplier involvement, total cost -management and financial analysis
- Ability to Negotiate and mediate contracts
- Proficient in Excel High ethical standards
- Lean Six Sigma
