Job Description:

Provide Accounting and Tax Services for adidas and Reebok brands, the wholesale business for the 3 zones making up North Europe (UK/Ireland, Nordics and Benelux), at country level for all 8 countries with North Europe ensuring all 5 currencies are appropriately considered for all reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that month end reporting is completed accurately and timely according to internal schedules, and that review meetings are prepared for and presented to review the results, including the sales and margin reconciliation review and the Opex/MWB/P&L review.
• Liaise with payroll teams to ensure that the balance sheet is correctly stated.
• Ensure that the Year End Financial Statements are produced for all legal entities within reporting timeframes and internal deadlines; and that they are approved and signed internally and by the auditors and submitted on time, but not earlier than required.
• Ensure that the Year End Audit is smooth and that all auditors’ queries are appropriately handled, and given the above, that there are no material amendments requested by the auditors.
• Ensure accounting entries are compliant with Group and Local Accounting Standards.
• Ensure that the Year End Group Reporting happens accurately and timely, ensuring that there is sufficient time to review the results and balance sheet so that all material and important changes are made.
• Ensure the monthly rebate accrual calculations are compared to the system accruals and the balance sheet and P&L amended as appropriate; and working with
• Sales Controlling that reconciliations between COPA and FI are produced.
• Ensure that key items of the Balance Sheet are reviewed on a regular basis, including the areas that which are influenced by FP&A teams outside of North Europe (eg EKAs/Retail) or completed by FSSC to ensure that the balance sheet is correctly and appropriately stated.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
• Excellent computer analysis skills on a variety of platforms; SAP/MSTR an advantage
• Graduate
• Qualified ACA/CIMA, minimum 5 years post qualification experience, preferably in a Controlling/Business environment. Experience in a sizeable blue chip commercial business would be an advantage
